"A Good Yarn is an ideal haven for those of the woolly persuasion. Kate provides just wonderful customer service and the shop itself is just beautifully set out. There is a wide choice - from the popular yarn companies like Sirdar and King Cole to something extra special, like Rowan. A Good Yarn is also stockists of the wonderful Knit Pro needles (if you haven't tried them, you're definitely missing out!). There is also a nice selection of patterns and books to check out.There is a lovely community of knitters and crocheters; who meet on the "Knot Just Knitting" days, all very friendly and willing to give any advice needed. There are regular and varied workshops for all levels; including learn to knit and crochet days. Definitely worth a drop in just to soak in all the lovely yarniness!"

Due to popular demand all of the 'Knot Just Knitting' groups have been extended by one hour, Friday's will now run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Tuesday and Saturdays will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

We have also added an extra Crochet Club which will now take place on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. You do need to book a place at Crochet Club and the cost is £5.
