A Good Yarn was opened on 30 April 2011 by Kate Roberts due to the high demand in the area for a yarn store with a different and brand new approach. Sumptuous yarns and accessories in a relaxed environment makes A Good Yarn a knitters’ and crocheters’ delight! Local yarn addicts had all said that what they wanted was a place that catered for all levels of experience, a sanctuary that they could retreat to when they wanted time to relax and somewhere to learn new skills.
A Good Yarn provides a vast range of yarns to suit all pockets in a relaxed environment. Knit and natter groups allow customers to enjoy the company of other like-minded people over coffee and cake. Monthly workshops are hosted by experienced and trained author/designers from the top companies. So if you want to learn how to knit, you can do that here and if you want something a bit more advanced, you can do that too! We cater for all levels and there is usually someone on hand to help with knitting or crochet emergencies!
