A Good Yarn is a family business based in North East Lincolnshire; born out of our passion for beautiful yarn and knitting accessories. A Good Yarn aims to bring you a range of great products suitable for all projects and pockets.
By continuing to browse and use this website, you are agreeing to comply and be bound by the following terms and conditions. A Good Yarn recommends you read them before making a purchase. All prices on agoodyarn.co.uk are correct at the time of entering; however we reserve the right to change the product at anytime, but changes will not affect contracts which have come into force. Please note that our prices are displayed in UK pounds sterling (£).
Making a purchase is simple. Just browse in the shop and add any items that you wish to buy to your basket (cart), changing the number of items as required. After you have finished your selections, go to the “Checkout” section. You will then be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order. Customers who have used agoodyarn.co.uk will be able to login using their username and password.
A Good Yarn accepts all major credit and debit cards through our secure payment processing partner PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to make a purchase, if you do have an account, your PayPal address and delivery address must match. A Good Yarn do not at any time have access to your account details. Prices shown are the price you pay, excluding delivery charges. A Good Yarn is not VAT registered, so we cannot charge VAT.
Monday to Friday orders placed by 3pm will, where possible will be dispatched the same day. After 3pm your order will be dispatched the following day. Orders placed Saturday or Sunday will be dispatched on the next working day.
Please note these delivery times are a guideline only and cannot be guaranteed. Deliveries around the Christmas, Easter, Bank Holidays, etc will also increase delivery times. Please allow extra time around these times of year for your delivery to arrive.
All orders are sent to the address specified by the customer as the delivery address when the order is placed. We cannot accept any responsibility for parcels that are lost or delayed as result of being incorrectly addressed at the checkout. Please contact A Good Yarn as soon as possible if you notice an error in the address entered.
A Good Yarn try to keep all the items on our website in stock and current stock levels are available to view online. With so many product lines we are occasionally out of stock of particular items or shades. If your item is not in stock, we will order the item for you. This means that there may be a slight delay in getting your order to you. You will contacted should this apply to you. If an item is not available for us to order we will contact you to let you know, cancel the order and refund you.
Refunds and Exchanges
If, after purchasing your item from A Good Yarn, you are unhappy with your purchase in any way please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Returns are accepted up to 14 days after you receive your order. All we ask is that the item is sent back in its original, unused, resalable condition (resalable means that for example, the yarn must be in its original ball band, not be unwound and be free from any odours or pet hairs). Please wrap the item carefully and securely.
Please send the following information via email prior to sending the item back: the reason for the return, the email address and the name the order was placed under, and if applicable details of what you would like in exchange.
A Good Yarn aim to refund, within 14 days of receipt of returned item.
Please note that should an item not reach us we are not responsible and as a result we will not be able to reimburse you/offer you an exchange. We advise you to use a tracked service such as recorded delivery to return your item.
Please note that postage costs are non refundable, the cost of return postage is the buyers responsibility unless the reason for the return is the fault of A Good Yarn.
If an item is faulty for any reason, we want to put it right. Returns for this reason are accepted within 28 days after you have received the order. Please send an email prior to sending the item back describing the fault and choose from a replacement, an exchange or a refund.
When sending the item back, please wrap the item securely and return the item via a tracked service such as recorded delivery, as A Good Yarn cannot take responsibility if the parcel is lost in transit.
If more than 28 days have passed, A Good Yarn will offer to repair or replace the item. If the item cannot be replaced, we will offer an exchange, a credit note or a refund. Please note if the item shows signs of significant wear, the refund may be less than the original price.
If more than 6 months have passed we will still repair the item, but this may incur a small cost, plus postage fees. Please contact us in this situation to see if a repair is possible and to receive an estimated cost.
A Good Yarn are committed to protecting your privacy and we will only use the information that we collect about you to process your order. The type of information we will hold about you includes: your name, address and email address. We use this information to dispatch your order and for notifications about your order, such as processing and dispatch info etc. A Good Yarn does not disclose customers’ information to third parties.
Cookies are small files or pieces of information stored by the browser on the hard drive of your computer or device. Our cookies or those of our third parties DO NOT store your personal information.

Please note it is not possible to accurately reproduce the colour shades on a computer screen. A Good Yarn try to make the photos as accurate as possible but colours may display differently on different computer monitors or devices. A Good Yarn provides colour names and descriptions to make your shopping experience as easy as possible. If once you have received the wool, you are unhappy with the shade – you can return it within 14 days (please see our terms and conditions).
All the information on agoodyarn.co.uk is accurate to the best of our knowledge. A Good Yarn will correct any errors as soon as they are brought to our attention.

A Good Yarn reserve the right to update and make alterations to these terms at any time to ensure we keep updated with current policy and legislation. By using our website you accept that you will be responsible for ensuring you stay updated with any changes to our terms.
